DETECTIVE ANALYTICS LLC

Privacy Notice

Effective April 20, 2026

Our products include CRIMR and the Detective Analytics Platform.

In Plain English

This notice explains what we do with personal information collected through our website (detectiveanalytics.com) and our business interactions with prospects, customers, and partners. It does not cover information our customers entrust to us through our products — that information is governed by the written agreement between Detective Analytics and the customer, and by the customer's own privacy policy. We do not sell personal information. We do not use it to target you with third-party advertising. All data we control is stored in the United States.

1. Who We Are and What This Notice Covers

Detective Analytics LLC (“Detective Analytics,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is a New Jersey limited liability company headquartered in Toms River, New Jersey. We build software for asset protection, loss prevention, and incident intelligence.

This Privacy Notice describes how we handle personal information when we act as a controller — meaning we determine why and how the information is processed. That includes:

•       visitors to detectiveanalytics.com and other websites we operate that link to this notice;

•       prospects, customers, partners, and other business contacts who interact with us; and

•       recipients of our marketing emails, event invitations, and similar communications.

Important Scope Limit

When customers use our products, they upload incident reports and related information to our service. With respect to that information, Detective Analytics acts as a service provider (also called a processor) on behalf of the customer. This notice does NOT govern how that customer-controlled data is handled. Those terms live in the written agreement between Detective Analytics and the customer. If you are a consumer who believes information about you appears in a customer's records held with us, please contact the customer directly to exercise your rights.

2. Information We Collect

The information we collect as a controller depends on how you interact with us. We collect only what we need to operate, communicate, and run our business.

Information you give us. Name, business email, company name, job title, phone number, and the contents of any message you send us through a contact form, demo request, email, event registration, or similar channel.

Information collected automatically. When you visit our website, we receive standard server log data (IP address, browser type and version, device type, operating system, referring URL, pages viewed, and timestamps) and a limited set of cookies and similar technologies described in Section 4 below.

Information from third parties. We may receive business contact information from public sources (such as company websites and LinkedIn), data enrichment vendors, partners who refer prospects to us, and conference or event organizers when you opt in to share your information with us.

What we do not collect. We do not knowingly collect Social Security numbers, government identifiers, payment card numbers, biometric data, precise geolocation, or information from children under 16 through this website.

3. How We Use Information

We use the information we collect as a controller for the following purposes:

•       to respond to inquiries, demo requests, and support tickets;

•       to evaluate, negotiate, sign, and administer agreements with prospects and customers;

•       to send relevant operational and marketing communications about our products and events (you can opt out of marketing communications at any time);

•       to operate, secure, monitor, troubleshoot, and improve our website;

•       to detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and unauthorized access to our website and systems;

•       to keep records, manage our finances, and comply with legal and regulatory obligations; and

•       to protect our rights, property, and the safety of our personnel, customers, and the public.

We do not use personal information collected through our website to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models that we offer commercially. AI-related processing of customer platform data, where it occurs, is governed by the customer agreement.

4. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our website uses a small number of cookies and similar technologies. We try to keep this footprint deliberately light.

Strictly necessary. Cookies that make the site work, including session management and basic security functions. These are always on.

Analytics. We use a privacy-respecting web analytics tool to understand aggregate site usage so we can improve content and performance. We do not combine analytics data with information that would identify you personally to a third party.

What we do not use. We do not use cookies for cross-site behavioral advertising, retargeting, or building advertising profiles. We do not knowingly permit third-party advertising networks to track you across the internet through our website.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you block, delete, or restrict cookies. Disabling strictly necessary cookies may make parts of the site stop working.

5. When and Why We Share Information

We share personal information only in the limited circumstances described here.

Service providers. We share information with vendors that help us run the business — for example, cloud hosting providers (Microsoft Azure for our infrastructure, located in U.S. data centers), email and customer relationship platforms, analytics tools, and professional advisors such as lawyers and accountants. Each is bound by contract to use the information only for the services they provide to us.

Legal and safety reasons. We may disclose information when we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, court order, subpoena, or other valid legal process, or to protect our rights, property, or the safety of our personnel, customers, or the public.

Business transactions. If Detective Analytics is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will require any successor to honor the commitments in this notice or provide you with notice and choice.

With your direction. We share information at your request or with your consent.

Sales and behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for money. We do not “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and similar state privacy laws.

6. Where We Store Your Information

Detective Analytics is a U.S. company, and we keep things in the United States. Personal information we control is stored on servers located in the United States, primarily in Microsoft Azure regions in the eastern United States. We do not transfer personal information we control outside of the United States in the ordinary course of business.

If you are accessing our website from outside the United States, please understand that your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, which may have different data protection rules than your home jurisdiction.

7. How Long We Keep Information

We keep personal information only for as long as we have a legitimate reason to keep it. As general guideposts:

•       contact and demo-request information is kept for the duration of our active business relationship and for a reasonable follow-up period afterward;

•       marketing list information is kept until you opt out and for a short period after to honor your opt-out;

•       contract and accounting records are kept for the period required by applicable tax, audit, and corporate-record laws (typically seven years); and

•       website log data is kept for a limited operational period to support security, troubleshooting, and analytics.

When we no longer have a reason to keep information, we delete it or de-identify it.

8. How We Protect Information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, theft, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These safeguards include encryption of data in transit (TLS) and at rest where supported by our infrastructure, role-based access controls, multi-factor authentication for administrative access, vendor due diligence, and an internal incident response process.

No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. While we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we ever experience a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you and applicable regulators in accordance with the law.

9. Your Privacy Rights and How to Exercise Them

Depending on where you live, you may have one or more of the following rights with respect to personal information we hold as a controller:

•       Access. Confirm whether we hold information about you and obtain a copy.

•       Correction. Ask us to correct inaccurate information.

•       Deletion. Ask us to delete information, subject to legal exceptions.

•       Portability. Receive a copy of certain information in a structured, machine-readable format.

•       Opt out of sale or behavioral advertising sharing. We do not engage in either, but you have the right to direct us not to.

•       Withdraw consent. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

•       Non-discrimination. We will not discriminate or retaliate against you for exercising any privacy right.

How to make a request. Email us at dainfo@detectiveanalytics.com with the subject line “Privacy Rights Request” and tell us what you would like us to do. We may need to verify your identity using information already on file before acting on your request. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.

Authorized agents. You may use an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. We will require written authorization and may also confirm the request directly with you.

Customer-controlled platform data. If your request relates to information held in our products on behalf of one of our customers (rather than information we hold as a controller), please contact the customer directly. We will assist the customer if asked, but the customer is the appropriate point of contact.

10. State-Specific Disclosures

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Montana, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Virginia, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws. The categories of personal information we collect, the purposes for which we use them, the categories of recipients with which we share them, and how to exercise your rights are described in Sections 2, 3, 5, and 9 above. We do not sell personal information for money and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly process “sensitive personal information” as defined under those laws through this website.

Notice of financial incentive. We do not offer financial incentives in exchange for personal information.

11. Third-Party Websites

Our website may contain links to websites and services operated by other companies. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and we are not responsible for what they do with information you give them. We encourage you to read the privacy notices of any site you visit.

12. Changes to This Notice

We may update this Privacy Notice from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective” date at the top of the notice. If a change is material, we will provide additional notice (for example, by posting a banner on the website or sending an email to known contacts). We encourage you to review this notice periodically.
